Plot Summary

Story revolves around a male Gynaecologist, Uday, who finds himself the alone male doctor among all the female doctors in the field of Gynaecology. His hesitation causes a lot of comedy, chaos, confusion and hence, leads to friendship with all his colleages.

” DoctorG is pleasant in parts. I liked it more as a coming of age drama than a genre specific to the world it’s set in. #ShefaliShah is at her ususal best. Ayushmann is good. The world building & character building is amazing. The themes used to move the story lacks finesse. 3/5 good movie 1st half is average it includes comedy which is decent, the plot is in the second half and it’s executed well by the director ayushmann khurrana gave his best. Overall it’s a good movie, give it a try since there’s no new movie releasing this week. Thank you for entering the sahi jagah and making DoctorG’s entry to the big screens a success. “

“Yet another Ayushman Khurrana film that deals with a taboo topic related to Gynaecologist. Through the film you see a young student, uninterested in Gynaecology getting into the subject and breaking the myth that only females can be good Gynaecologist. Doesn’t leave much of an impact but the film is definitely interesting to watch. Never gets too preachy at any time. Climax was quite interesting but i felt it was a bit short. Humor works well wherever present. Performances were good. AK is in his comfort zone. Sheeba chadda brings good comic relief but has an emotional tale in the 2nd half. Shefali Shah yet again delivers a standout performances. Rakul preet was very average. The love angle was totally unnecessary and increases the length of the already short film by atleast 20 mins. Sheeba chadda’s mini subplot could have been avoided. Lastly, the film doesn’t leave much impact. Overall, a decent one timer.”

“ Bollywood seems to have married with the term “Average”. Nothing, absolutely nothing has surpassed this limiting term average in last 4 years. This movie too is no exception. yes, it can be defined with this single term on all aspects from direction to dialogues and from acting to storyline. The movie seems to be a framework of unnecessary plots randomly placed with no relation each other. A girl raped by a MD orthopaedic to a Rakul preet kiss with the lead even though she is engaged with some another. Initially the lead is part of crime and illegally tries to do abortion of the girl technically raped by MD orthopaedic but suddenly he is made hero. He is sad about getting gynaecology but then loves it. From getting raging from seniors to the IAS aspirant friend. The director himself seems very confused about what to show and what to not. The first half has a decent grip due to the involved humor but the second disappoints. Overall AVERAGE and a one time watch.”
